I think Ibiza has a little bit of my heart. If anyone asks me where I would retire to or where I would marry, usually Ibiza would be one of the options for myself! Known as the "white isle" or "white island", Ibiza is famous for having THE best nightlife in the world. Ibiza combines the hippy-bohemian luxe lifestyle with hedonism better than anywhere else on the planet. I have been to the Balearic Island of Ibiza twice in my lifetime so far, and twice is not enough! I first visited Ibiza a few months before I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, in the May 2009 with some friends. I then visited Ibiza 9 years later with a friend in August 2018. The photos I have used in this blog are mainly from the 2018 trip. I have listed the places I have been to and where I would like to visit next time.

San Antonio

San Antonio, located on the west coast of Ibiza, is one of the hottest tourist destinations on the island. San Antonio is home to some of the best nightlife spots which include Cafe Mambo, Cafe del Mar, Ibiza Rocks and the O Beach Ibiza Beach Club.

Cala Gracionata

Cala Gracioneta is small piece of paradise just 1km away from San Antonio. This beautiful cove features a narrow sand beach and pristine turquoise waters. There is also a wonderful beach bar/restaurant located at the beach called Chiringuito.

Cala Salada

Cala Salada, one of Ibiza's most charming beaches. Cala Salada is only 200 metres long and about 25 metres wide, depending on the tides.

Café Mambo

An icon of Ibiza, Café Mambo is a must for anyone that holidays on the White Isle. Café Mambo is one of the most popular restaurants and bars on San Antonio's famous sunset strip, with the most famous sunset terrace in the world. We visited Café Mambo for the Radio One Weekend.

Café Del Mar

A veteran of Ibiza, Café Del Mar opened its doors in 1980 and has been a symbol of everything that the island stands for ever since.

Ibiza Rocks

Ibiza Rocks Hotel is an island institution. With scores of daytime poolside parties and events, it has come to be known as the "home of the pool party.". We visited Ibiza Rocks for the MK Pool Party.

O Beach

O Beach Ibiza (formerly Ocean Beach Club) Ibiza is the most exclusive beach club in the white isle. It offers stunning live performances of acrobatics, VIP beds around the pool, and day to night time parties. It is a 'must visit' for anyone visiting Ibiza.

Amnesia

The legendary nightclub Amnesia Ibiza is considered one of the electronic music temples and an epicentre of the dance music scene on the white isle. Ibiza is an ultimate destination for electronic dance music (EDM) enthusiasts, and Amnesia has some of the best EDM parties and DJ's. We visited Amnesia for the Elrow party.

HI Ibiza

HI Ibiza is the most technologically advanced club on the planet with cutting-edge DJ's and pioneering immersive experiences. It is officially the World's Number 1 Club. We visited HI Ibiza to watch Eric Prydz.

Privilege

Privilege Ibiza, originally known as Ku Club (1979–95), is the "world's largest nightclub" according to the Guinness Book of Records. Privilege is a superclub which attracts the best DJ's from around the world. We visited Privilege to see Paul Van Dyk.

Ushuaïa

Ushuaïa Ibiza has been the destination of choice for international thrill-seekers arriving on the island since opening in 2011. Hosting the biggest superstar DJ's in the world, Ushuaïa Ibiza's iconic stage, large pool area, and open-air dancefloor guarantee an unmatched musical experience, pairing incredible production with immersive performances to create truly unforgettable moments. We visited Ushuaïa to see Martin Garrix perform.

Ibiza Old Town

Ibiza's Old Town is the historic heart of the sun-kissed Spanish island and a must for anyone who loves an island getaway with a bit of antiquity.

Formentera

Formentera is the smallest of Spain’s Balearic islands in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s reachable by ferry from its more crowded, better known island neighbor, Ibiza, and makes for a popular day-trip destination in the summertime. Ses Illetes is the most famous beach in Formentera. Thanks to its white sand and crystal-clear water, this beach in the north of Formentera has been named one of the most beautiful in the world.

What I missed out on....

Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience everything I wanted to, even with 2 trips to Ibiza. If I get to visit the white isle again, I would like to stay at the Can Vistabella Boutique Resort, the Mondrian Ibiza in Cala Llonga, Destino Pacha Ibiza Hotel and the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza. I would also like to visit Cova Santa for Storytellers, Es Vedra, Hippy Market Punta Arabi, the Hippy Monument, Ses Salines Natural Park, Cala Llentia, Pacha and the Nikki Beach Club.

Can Vistabella Boutique Resort

The Can Vistabella Boutique Resort is the ultimate sanctuary away from the hard-partying Ibiza just ten minutes away. The Can Vistabella emcompasses the other side of Ibiza, the relaxing spiritual side, with an emphasis on wellness and yoga as it's main activity.

Mondian Hotel in Cala Llonga

I love the Mondrian hotels! I have stayed at the Mondrian West Hollywood and the Mondrian South Beach in Miami. The next Mondrian hotel my list is the Mondrian Ibiza in Cala Llonga. Located in the picturesque setting of Cala Llonga, Mondrian Ibiza brings together chic sophistication, cutting-edge design, and superlative service.

Destino Pacha Ibiza Hotel

The Destino Pacha Ibiza Hotel is an adults-only retreat sitting on a cliff, overlooking a beautiful bay and Ibiza Town.

Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza

Overlooking the beach in the popular resort of Playa d'en Bossa, is the Hark Rock Hotel Ibiza, a luxury 5* hotel with the 'wow' factor.

Cova Santa for Storytellers

Storytellers – Cova Santa. Storytellers is a unique party concept brought to you by the creative LunArts team, who are also behind the renowned Woomoon events.

Hippy Market Punta Arabi

Ibiza's artisan markets are famous worldwide. Especially popular are the island's hippy

markets organised since the 1970s by the hippy community that made the white isle their home. The Hippy Market Punta Arabí was founded in 1973, it is the oldest and largest of Ibiza.

Hippy Monument

The Hippy Monument is a bronze statue of a long haired hippy and his young daughter is located in the port of Ibiza, in Spain. The statue was inspired by a legendary photograph.

Ses Salines Natural Park

The Ses Salines Natural Park in the south of Ibiza is a must-visit destination. Among the main attractions of Ses Salines Natural Park are the nesting birds. The flamingo or 'flamenco' in Spanish is the most popular species in the park.

Es Vedra

Es Vedra is a small island off the coast of Ibiza, it is shrouded in myths and spiritual beliefs, it's also the third most magnetic spot on earth. Es Vedra is the emblem of Ibiza.

Cala Llentia

In the southern part of the island of Ibiza, within the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, there is a very special cove, Cala Llentia. Cala Llentia is famous because of two iconic elements, The Sundial and the Gates of Ibiza.

Pacha

The world's most iconic nightclub where heritage, music and glamour combine. An electric mix of authenticity, spontaneity, fun and kudos. Since 1973 Pacha has been the inherent pioneer of Ibiza's dance and cultural movement, where the cherries and the island of freedom go hand in hand.

Nikki Beach Club

Located on the Santa Eulalia beachfront, Nikki Beach Ibiza combines top cuisine, art, entertainment, music, fashion and film into one luxurious offering.

Until next time Ibiza!
