Sardinia is the second largest island in Italy, and is situated in the middle of the Mediterranean. The island is home to the best beaches in Italy, the most famous being the the beaches of Stintino. I visited Sardinia with family in 2016.

Hotel Corte Rosada

We stayed at the Hotel Corte Rosada for 7 nights during our visit to Sardinia. The hotel is a good choice for families. There is a wide variety of activities on site, such as a swimming pool, tennis courts, a private beach and bikes for hire.

Alghero

Alghero is a city on the northwest coast of Sardinia, Italy. Encircled by ancient walls, it’s known for its cobblestoned old center. Its Catalan Gothic buildings include the Cattedrale di Santa Maria, with an imposing bell tower, Palazzo Guillot and Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church.

Neptune's Grotto

Neptune's Grotto is a stalactite cave near the town of Alghero on the island of Sardinia, Italy. We took a boat trip to see the cave.

Costa Smeralda

The Costa Smeralda, or Emerald Coast, is one of the most glamorous destinations in all of the Mediterranean. With its super yachts, sports cars, designer shopping boutiques and exclusive clubs, the Costa Smeralda is a destination popular with rich celebrities. It's also famous for its stunning beaches, which are among the most beautiful and pristine in the world. We took a tour to see the Costa Smeralda from Alghero.

La Pelosa Beach, Stintino

Tucked away on the north-western coast of the captivating island of Sardinia is a pristine paradise known as La Pelosa Beach (Spiaggia della Pelosa), Stintino. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters, fine white sand, and enchanting surroundings, La Pelosa is a true gem that enchants both visitors and locals. It is ranked as one of the best beaches on Sardinia.

Le Bombarde Beach

The beach of Le Bombarde is one of the gems in the territory of Alghero, as well as being one of the most famous on the island.

Sella & Mosca S.r.l (Tenute Sella & Mosca S.r.l)

Sella & Mosca is one of the most important Sardinian wineries, and by far the largest on the island. It produces several wines with the most famous endemic grapes, and many other less famous variants. The vineyards and the winery are located in Alghero, the headquarters immersed in the Alghero countryside. We visited the Sella & Mosca estate for a wine tasting session during our trip.
